In April 2008, when their 53-year-old godmother was diagnosed with cancer and then passed away three months later, Eimerl and her sister, co-founder Kristin Morrow reflected on their lives and their work, and discovered a bigger life purpose. They wanted to impact people’s lives in a positive way while pursuing their passion for art and fashion. Having been dedicated to partnering with local causes and donating a portion of proceeds to them already, developing a new line of stylish cause-related bags became the next logical step.

Fuffy J. Couture is a handbag label founded in 2006 that brings distinctiveness to women’s wardrobes coast to coast. The name Fuffy J. is a tribute to the life of the co-founders’ eccentric grandfather, whom they lovingly called "Fuffy." Genuine, compassionate, loveable and zealous; Fuffy J. was a philanthropist, an entrepreneur and an artist who made a lasting impression with his loud polyester shirts and his smiling eyes.
